Anthropic has significantly enhanced its Claude AI with updates to its Research capability and the introduction of new Integrations. The centerpiece is an advanced Research mode designed to tackle complex questions by conducting deeper investigations across various data sources, representing a significant step forward in AI-driven analysis.
This advanced mode allows Claude to dedicate five to 45 minutes to particularly complex research tasks. It breaks down user requests into smaller parts, investigating each component deeply using sources like web search, Google Workspace documents, and newly connected applications through Integrations (including tools like Jira, Zapier, and Confluence). The AI then compiles its findings into a comprehensive report with citations linking back to the original source materials for verification.
Initially available in beta for users on Anthropic's Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, the advanced Research feature promises to automate work that could previously take hours of manual research. This upgrade, alongside the ability to connect more workplace tools directly to Claude, aims to make the AI a more informed and capable collaborator for complex projects and in-depth analysis, positioning it competitively against other AI tools offering deep research functions.

China Makes AI Education Mandatory for All Children: A Glimpse into the Future
Starting in September 2025, China will mandate artificial intelligence (AI) education for all primary and secondary school students, including children as young as six. Under this sweeping new policy, every student will receive at least eight hours of AI instruction annually. This nationwide initiative signals China’s determination to lead in global AI innovation by cultivating a generation of tech-savvy citizens from an early age.
The curriculum will be tiered and age-appropriate. Young learners will be introduced to foundational AI concepts using accessible tools like chatbots and basic logic. At the same time, older students will progress to topics such as machine learning, robotics, and practical AI applications in daily life and industry. Depending on the school, the instruction will be integrated across subjects like science and information technology or offered as standalone courses.
Pilot programs are underway in major urban centers like Beijing, where some schools have incorporated robotics clubs and AI labs into daily classroom routines. These programs aim to teach technical skills and foster critical thinking, digital literacy, and ethical awareness.
This bold move is part of China’s broader strategy to dominate the AI sector by 2023. China is positioning its youth to thrive in an increasingly automated and data-driven world by embedding AI literacy into its education system.
